Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge 343

Splitcoaststampers is a great web community for people who love cards.  The card below was my interpretation of this week's Sketch Challenge 343, SC343.  I used the new Mocha Morning designer paper from Stampin' Up and the new word stamp set Petite Pairs.

New Card with Old Products

Every once and awhile, I break out the old retired stuff just to use it up so I can make room for new paper and embellishments.  I made this card using To the Nines Specialty paper and the brown felt ribbon from the Holiday Mini several years ago.  The base was Close to Cocoa textured paper.  I had quite a bit of these old papers left, so I created this card for the children in our church's Summer Presbie Kids program to duplicate for their dads for Father's Day.

There was very little stamping, mostly punching and gluing, so not too difficult for little ones.

Sail Away

I just loved this set and this paper.  This I believe is the first nautical stamp set I have ever purchased.  I am not sure why because I really enjoyed using it.  It is great for masculine cards.
Details:
Paper: Nautical Expedition DSP from the Summer Mini, Naturals Paper
Stamps: Sail Away Stamp Set
Etc.: Pearls, Twine and Punches
Colors: Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler
Technique: Watercoloring

Enjoy,

Under the Big Top

Just another card from my last workshop.  I love this set and this dancing bear.  The stamp sets are Under the Big Top and Pennant Parade.  The colors are real red, so saffron, basic black, and tempting turquoise.  The embossing folders are the Textured Impressions Designer Frames and Stripes.  The designer paper is Big Top Birthday.  These are all a part of the Big Top Product Suite and can be found in the new 2011-12 Stampin' Up catalog.

Doily Triple Layer Punch

There is so much that you can do with the new triple layer punches.  I love the new Doily suite of stamps, paper, and punches.  This is a card that I made using the new punch.  I also used the saying from the new Petite Pairs and the new Designer Frames embossing folder.  Enjoy!

Lace Ribbon Border

The word grace came from an old retired set that I have had forever.  I think the name was Graceful Words, but I could be wrong.  The new lace ribbon border punch is really fun to use. The colors on this card are real red, black, and whisper white.

I made thirty of these cards for our youth at church who are at camp this week.

I love this stamp set. However, I am always drawn to all things vintage. This set came from the 2011 Occasions Mini.
